F-8 Crusader – folding wing set 1:48 (Wolfpack) is a resin accessory that makes it possible to show the characteristically folded wing tips of the Crusader. It is designed for the Hasegawa, Eduard or Hobby 2000 kits.

This is a resin detail set from Wolfpack in 1:48 scale for the carrier-based fighter F-8 Crusader. It is not an airplane model, but a conversion accessory that makes it possible to build the model with the wing tips folded, as they looked while parked on the deck of an aircraft carrier. The set contains the outer wing panels and the parts of the folding mechanism together with color instructions in A5 format.
The target kits are Hasegawa, Eduard or Hobby 2000; they are sold separately.
Folding the outer parts of the wings saved space on deck and is one of the most striking features of the Crusader. The accessory replaces the one-piece plastic wings with separate resin parts, so the model gains a dynamic, technically faithful pose as well as a view of the internal structure of the hinge.
Wash the mold release agent off the castings, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). With the folded surfaces, mind the correct angle and a firm bond at the joint; only then add the painting and a wash to bring out the details of the hinge.
The accessory is supplied as unpainted resin castings. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
