Replacement exhaust nozzles in the type 1 rendition in 1:48 scale, shaped for the F/A-18 Super Hornet kit from Hasegawa.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F/A-18 Super Hornet is a carrier combat aircraft that grew against the older Hornet in both size and load, and you can tell it by its rectangular intakes. It serves both for air combat and for attacks on ground and surface targets, and on a carrier deck it also manages refueling in flight. The exhaust nozzles of both engines are among the places that everyone who looks at a model from behind looks at.
Replacement exhaust nozzles in 1:48 scale in the rendition the maker designates as type 1, shaped for the Super Hornet kit from Hasegawa. They go in place of the parts from the box and seat on the end of the engine nacelles.
The parts are not of polystyrene; they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part, sand the remainder and try the joint dry, so that the nozzle follows on with no step. Before painting, wash them in lukewarm soapy water and degrease them. Paint and dry the inner surfaces before you glue the nozzle to the model. Apply the metallic shades in thin coats and grade the heat staining toward the mouth; the fine differences in shadow you finally draw out with a dry brush. The assembly procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
For modelers who build the Super Hornet in 1:48 scale and want to give the rear end the depth that a flat part from the box will not give.
The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
