Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British carrier aircraft Fairey Firefly in the F/FR Mk.I version in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Special Hobby. The F/FR designation corresponds to the fighter and the fighter reconnaissance role. The package holds clear parts and a decal sheet with period markings of Fleet Air Arm aircraft.
The Firefly was a two-seat carrier fighter and reconnaissance aircraft of the Fleet Air Arm powered by a Rolls-Royce Griffon engine. It was used at the end of the Second World War, among other places in the Pacific. Thanks to its good range and sturdy structure it carried out tasks from patrolling to attacks on ground and naval targets.
A short-run mold calls for cleaning the parts up and dry fitting them. Use thin cement on the plastic. Finish and paint the two-seat cockpit before you close the fuselage. A gloss varnish before the decals is advisable, as are an airbrush for the period naval camouflage and masking of the glazing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
