This is an injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale from the Italian brand Italeri. The model captures the single-engine light FIAT G.91 fighter-bomber in the R version. This recent release of the kit is completed by a decal sheet for several marking options, a 3D decal for the instrument panel and masking film for the cockpit glazing.
The FIAT G.91 came out of an Italian design office at the turn of the 1940s and 1950s, from a proposal by the engineer Giuseppe Gabrielli. This compact aircraft with swept wings and good agility won the NATO competition for a light tactical support machine. In the R version it carried four 12.7 mm machine guns in the nose and bombs or rockets on the underwing pylons. It served with the Italian, German and Portuguese air forces.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Apply primer before painting; the main shades are best sprayed with an airbrush. You can bring out the cockpit with the 3D decal for the instrument panel supplied and protect the glazing with the masks included. Apply gloss varnish under the decals and finally even the surface out with a matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
