Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the ground-attack Fw 190F-8 version in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. The model captures the attack modification derived from the airframe of the Fw 190A-8 fighter. Eduard offers this kit in several editions (among them ProfiPACK and Weekend); the exact contents of the box, the number of marking options and the extras (photo-etch, masks) differ according to the edition. Check the exact edition against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Fw 190F-8 was a specialized ground-attack aircraft intended for direct support of ground units. It derived from the proven Fw 190 fighter with its BMW 801 radial engine and was strengthened and fitted with pylons for bomb armament as well as additional armor. In the second half of the war it gradually took over the role of the Ju 87 Stuka dive bomber and was used above all on the Eastern Front and over western Europe.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue clean joints with thin modeling cement for plastic. Lay down a primer before painting, and an airbrush covers best. Paint and highlight the cockpit interior before you close up the fuselage. After the gloss coat and the decals, bring out the panel lines with a wash and add the fine wear that matches late-war service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
