FuG 212 Lichtenstein C-1 is a 3D-printed resin set of the antenna array of the German airborne radar for models of night fighters in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a fine accessory set in 3D-printed resin, not a model in its own right. It contains the antenna array of the airborne radar, nicknamed the mattress, with which a model of a German night fighter in 1:48 scale is detailed. Thanks to 3D printing the dipole rods are thin and sharp, which is hard to achieve in injected plastic or photo-etch.
The FuG 212 Lichtenstein C-1 was one of the first production airborne radars of the Luftwaffe for night interception. Its antenna array was mounted on the nose of the aircraft and became a characteristic recognition feature of machines such as the Bf 110, the Do 217 or the Ju 88 in the night fighter role.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports and carrier blocks, sand the marks down gently and wash off any residue. They are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The thin dipoles are fragile, so count on careful handling. Paint them in the shade matching the machine you choose.
This is an accessory set, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
