The package contains two precisely turned metal barrels for the German aircraft cannon of 3.7 cm caliber derived from the Flak 18 anti-aircraft gun. The parts replace the plastic barrels from the box and bring a truer shape and a sharply rendered muzzle bore. The set is intended for aircraft models in 1:48 scale and comes from the Polish brand MASTER.
The cannon of 3.7 cm caliber was fitted in underwing gondolas in its version for aircraft. The best-known use is on the Junkers Ju 87G dive bomber, the so-called Kanonenvogel, which used a pair of these weapons to destroy Soviet tanks on the Eastern Front. A high muzzle velocity and armor-piercing rounds made the cannon an effective means of fighting armored vehicles.
Cut off the plastic barrel and clean up the seating face. Glue the metal part with cyanoacrylate. Before painting, degrease the surface and apply a primer suitable for metal; tone the barrels in dark metallic shades with a gentle highlight of the muzzle and the traces of firing.
This is an add-on detail set, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
