A set of two precisely turned metal barrels from the Polish manufacturer MASTER in 1:48 scale, representing the German MG 131 aircraft machine gun of 13 mm caliber. It is neither a model nor a kit; it is a detail accessory that replaces the plastic barrels on models of Luftwaffe aircraft. Turned metal has a faithful shape, a clean muzzle bore and sharp details with no parting seams. The package holds 2 pieces. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
The MG 131 was a German heavy aircraft machine gun of 13 mm caliber from the Second World War, designed as a compact and light weapon for synchronized fire as well as for defensive positions. It gradually replaced the older 7.92 mm machine guns and became common armament on later fighters and bombers, among them the Bf 109 G and the Fw 190. On many machines the installation above the engine showed up as fairings (Beulen). The turned barrels bring out this feature of the armament.
This is an accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
