An add-on ordnance set, not an airplane model. This injection-molded set from the Ukrainian manufacturer MiniArt contains German aerial bombs and drop fuel tanks in 1:48 scale. It is used to complete Luftwaffe aircraft kits from the Second World War and to bring airfield dioramas and scenes to life. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and it includes a decal sheet with technical markings and stencils.
The box offers several injection-molded sprues with bombs of various calibers and drop tanks typical of German aircraft of the period. The decal sheet adds stencils and markings that give the ordnance and tanks an authentic look. The set therefore lets you hang authentic ordnance under the wings and fuselage, or assemble a stock of munitions for an airfield scene.
Cut the parts from the sprue and clean up the parting lines; for the bombs, pay attention to precisely fitting the body halves together. The stores can be painted separately before installation. An airbrush works well for the base color, a gloss coat under the decals, and a final matte coat. A wash and pigments will give the tanks and bombs a realistic patina.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
