Turned metal antennas of the German FuG 218 Neptun radar in 1:48 scale from Master. A replacement for the kit's plastic parts in fine metal.
Responsibility details are not available.
A precise turned metal accessory for models of German Second World War night fighters in 1:48 scale fitted with the FuG 218 Neptun airborne radar. The set replaces the coarse plastic antennas with fine metal (brass) parts. The radar appeared on machines such as the Me 262 and the Ar 234 in the night fighter role. This is not an aircraft model but a detail replacement part.
The metal antennas are thin, straight and accurate in a way an injection molding cannot match, and they are far more resistant to bending and breaking. In the larger 1:48 scale the fineness of the antenna array stands out particularly well and the nose of the aircraft gains a faithful look.
Drill holes in the antenna frame with a fine bit and assemble the metal parts; soldering is recommended for joining the parts. Fix the assembled antennas in place with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The set suits more advanced modelers.
This is an accessory detail set, not a complete kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
