A pair of precisely turned metal barrels for the 7.92 mm Spandau LMG 08/15 aircraft machine gun in 1:48 scale, with a faithfully drilled cooling jacket. It is a detail accessory for modelers, not a model in its own right: the barrels replace the simplified plastic parts and give the model a fine, pierced cooling jacket that is hard to render in plastic.
The Spandau LMG 08/15 machine gun was the standard weapon of almost every German fighter of the First World War. It was mounted in front of the pilot and fired through the propeller disc. Most German aircraft of that time carried it, for example the Albatros, Fokker and Pfalz types.
Cut off the plastic barrels of the kit and replace them with the metal ones; for strength the metal parts can also be joined by soldering. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease before painting and lay down a primer.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
