About product

Omask 1:48 Heinkel He-162 painting masks

A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks intended for painting the glazed areas and the canopy frames on plastic models of the Heinkel He-162 in 1:48 scale. The masks take the place of lengthy taping by hand and give crisp, straight transitions between the frame color and the clear glazing. The masks follow the shapes of the Tamiya 61097 kit.

Use

  • Carefully lift the masks off the sheet and transfer them onto clean, degreased glazing.
  • Press the edges down carefully so that paint does not run under them, and paint in several thin coats.
  • Suitable for an airbrush and a brush alike; once dry, remove the masks while the finish is still fresh.
  • Besides the canopy frames, the pieces can also be used to mask other precisely bounded areas.

Who the set is for

For modelers who want professional-looking edges on the glazing without laborious masking with tape. This is an accessory for painting, not a kit.

The masks are an accessory to a model. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.

FAQ

No. It is a set of painting masks, that is an accessory for painting the glazing and the canopy frames. The model itself is not included.

They are designed for the glazing shapes of the Heinkel He-162 in 1:48 scale. They fit best on a model of the matching subject. The set is prepared for the Tamiya 61097 kit.

Yes. What matters is to press the masks down well around the edges and to apply the paint in thin coats so that it does not run under them.
