The injection-molded plastic kit Hawker Hurricane Mk.I Aces in 1:48 scale by Italeri - the British fighter of the early Second World War with the markings of several RAF aces.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Hawker Hurricane Mk.I fighter in 1:48 scale from the Italian manufacturer Italeri. The Aces edition focuses on machines flown by well-known RAF fighter aces; the package is supplemented by photo-etched parts and a decal sheet with several marking options. The finished model reaches a length of about 20 cm.
At the start of the Second World War the Hawker Hurricane was the most numerous fighter of the Royal Air Force and bore the main weight of the fighting during the Battle of Britain. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 and its armament consisted of eight 7.7 mm machine guns in the wings. The mixed construction with a fabric-covered rear fuselage was durable and easy to repair.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and the photo-etched items with super glue. Finish and paint the cockpit first, only then join the fuselage. Mask the canopy glazing and use a primer. Spray the RAF camouflage (most often Dark Earth and Dark Green on top) with an airbrush and soft transitions; apply a gloss coat before the decals, then a matte one and a fine wash in the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
