An injection-molded plastic kit of the South Korean light combat aircraft KAI FA-50 Fighting Eagle in the markings of the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) in 1:48 scale from Academy. The model has finely drawn surfaces and faithful airframe shapes, and it comes with external stores with armament, masking film for the canopy glazing and decals for several ROKAF machines.
The FA-50 Fighting Eagle is the light combat version of the supersonic KAI T-50 Golden Eagle trainer, developed for the Republic of Korea Air Force. It handles a wide range of tasks, from air combat through attacks on ground targets to reconnaissance, and it carries modern avionics as well as guided air-to-air and air-to-ground armament. Thanks to its low purchase and operating costs it also made its way onto export markets and became one of the most successful light combat aircraft of its category. It combines the training capabilities of the T-50 with real combat potential, which makes it a versatile machine for smaller air forces.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Lay a primer before painting and spray the gray camouflage with an airbrush in thin layers; the mask supplied will give crisp glazing frames. Assemble and paint the external stores separately and fit them at the very end. Bring out the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
