Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set from CMK in 1:48 scale, made by 3D printing. It contains two Lewis machine guns, one with a classic ring and bead sight and the other with a reflector sight, for the defensive position of the British Westland Lysander liaison aircraft. Spare Lewis magazines are usually included as well. The set raises the fidelity of the armament of the kit that the name gives as coming from Airfix.
The Westland Lysander was a British liaison and observation high-wing aircraft with outstanding takeoff and landing qualities, famous among other things for secret night flights to drop agents behind the front. In the defensive rear position it carried a .303 caliber machine gun, typically a Lewis or a pair of Brownings.
Wash the parts to remove print resin residue and cut them off the carrier blocks carefully; they are fine castings, so work with a sharp tool and protect your airways. Bond with super glue. Tone the metal parts in dark steel with a fine dry brush on the edges.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
