A detail wheel set for models of the American F-15 multi-role aircraft in the E, I and K versions in 1:48 scale from Reskit. It is not an airplane kit but a standalone accessory that replaces the factory plastic wheels with more faithful parts in cast resin and 3D print. Compared with the Eagle fighters, these versions have strengthened landing gear for a higher takeoff weight.
The F-15E Strike Eagle is a two-seat multi-role version capable of air combat as well as precision strikes against ground targets. The I version is the export configuration for the Israeli Air Force, the K version for the Republic of Korea Air Force. The machines carry conformal fuel tanks and extensive armament, which the more robust landing gear matches.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Shade the tires in a matte blackish gray and the rims in metallic shades. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The airplane kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
