This resin detail set from the Czech maker CMK replaces the control surfaces of a model of the German Me 410 B heavy fighter, the ailerons, the elevator and the rudder, with separately cast parts. They make it possible to set the surfaces in a deflected position and give a model a livelier, more realistic look. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory intended for the Me 410 B kit in 1:48 scale.
The Messerschmitt Me 410 Hornisse was a twin-engine heavy fighter and fast bomber of the Luftwaffe from the second half of the war. It was based on the unsuccessful Me 210, had reworked wings and more powerful engines and served as a bomber destroyer, a reconnaissance aircraft and a ground-attack aircraft. Its remotely controlled side gun turrets were characteristic.
Cut the original surfaces off the model and replace them with the resin ones. Wash the parts free of mold release agent, clean up the casting blocks and glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Choose the deflection of the surfaces naturally and symmetrically, to match the position on display. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The set is an accessory for the given model, not a kit on its own. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
