Airscale metallic placards and dataplates WWII 1:48 is a set of colored decals with warning placards, lettering and dataplates for the cockpits of Allied and Axis aircraft of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of colored decals (not an aircraft model) that adds small metallic-looking placards, warning labels and dataplates to a cockpit in 1:48 scale. Airscale is a British brand specializing in cockpit accessories. The set is universal and is intended for Allied as well as Axis aircraft of the Second World War period, so it can be used on a wide range of kits.
The sheet contains a large number of miniature decals imitating the metal manufacturer's and service plates, warning labels and instrument plates that in real cockpits were found on panels, sidewalls and frames. The motifs are printed on thin film at high resolution, so even at small sizes they stay legible.
Apply the decals onto a finished and varnished surface over a layer of gloss varnish, which prevents a matte frame from forming. Cut the individual motifs out as close as possible, apply them with the help of a softener and, once dry, go over them with a matte varnish. The set goes splendidly with the instrument decals and photo-etched bezels from the same brand.
The accessory is supplied as a sheet of decals; it is not an aircraft model. Paints, varnish and a kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
