Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet jet fighter Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-17F, NATO reporting name Fresco C, in 1:48 scale from the brand Hobby Boss. The model captures the aircraft with its swept wing and afterburner, and it offers a detailed cockpit, a clear canopy and a fine engraved surface. The exact contents of the box and the camouflage schemes are given in the instructions inside.
The MiG-17 was a Soviet jet fighter that followed on from the famous MiG-15 and removed its stability problems at high speeds. The fuselage was lengthened, and the wing received more sweep as well as wing fences on its upper surface. The MiG-17F version, designated Fresco C by NATO, received an engine with an afterburner, which markedly improved its rate of climb and performance. The aircraft was built in enormous numbers, served with dozens of air forces and became famous above all as an agile and tough opponent in the Vietnam war, where in a turning fight it could threaten even more modern and faster American machines.
Paint the cockpit in detail and seat the instrument panel and the seat before closing the fuselage. Fit the canopy glazing after varnishing and mask the framing. A natural metal or metallic-looking surface looks best over a smoothed gloss base with individual panels shaded; lay the colorful Vietnamese schemes on with an airbrush. Use a gloss varnish under the decals and fit any stores at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
