The masking set MiG-19 — masks for the glazing in 1:48 scale by Omask. Precise masks for spraying the canopy framing of the fighter; it is not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of precisely cut masking stencils, not an airplane model. The masks cover the glazing (the canopy panels) of the Soviet MiG-19 supersonic fighter in 1:48 scale and serve for spraying the canopy framing cleanly instead of laborious masking by hand with tape. Thanks to their precise shape they fit the curved frames that are hard to manage with a brush or with tape. The set is intended for MiG-19 kits in 1:48 scale by Trumpeter and Eduard.
The MiG-19 was the first Soviet production fighter capable of supersonic flight in level attitude. Its pair of engines, swept wing and nose air intake place it among the typical machines of the turn of the 1950s. The framed glazing is markedly visible on a model, so crisp and straight frame lines raise the overall impression.
For modelers building the MiG-19 in 1:48 scale from Trumpeter or Eduard who want crisp, straight canopy frames without lengthy masking with tape. Even a moderately advanced modeler can manage it.
The accessory is supplied without paints. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
