About product

Pitot tube for the MiG-25PD/PDS Foxbat E 1:48 (MASTER)

A set with a turned metal pitot tube for a model of the Soviet MiG-25PD/PDS (Foxbat E) interceptor in 1:48 scale. The Polish maker MASTER turns the part from metal with faithful geometry and a sharp point, replacing the thicker and easily bent plastic molding from the kit.

The real subject

The MiG-25 was a Soviet twin-engine interceptor and reconnaissance aircraft capable of very high speeds and altitudes. The PD and PDS versions were modernized interceptors with an improved radar. The long pitot tube on the nose is one of the prominent recognition features of the aircraft and on models it often suffers from an inaccurate shape.

Use and fitting

Cut off the plastic part from the kit and clean it up, drill a hole and glue the metal tube in with cyanoacrylate. The metal surface holds paint once a primer is applied. Handle the long thin tube carefully and move it with tweezers.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers building the MiG-25PD/PDS in 1:48 scale
  • Anyone who wants an accurate and durable pitot tube shape
  • Builders looking for a metal replacement for plastic
  • Anyone interested in a high level of detail

This is not a model of an aircraft but a metal accessory. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
