The set contains four 3D printed resin Mk 20 Rockeye II cluster bombs in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory to plastic kits that sharpens the American external stores of Cold War aircraft.
The Mk 20 Rockeye II is an American anti-tank and anti-personnel cluster bomb. After release the casing opens and scatters a large number of small shaped-charge submunitions over an area target. The CBU-59 APAM variant was carried by a number of American tactical aircraft from the 1960s on. The cylindrical body with folding tail surfaces is characteristic.
Wash the parts to remove any uncured resin, cut off the 3D print supports and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a base coat, paint with an airbrush and complete the surface with washes and markings.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
