This resin interior set in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker CMK refines the cockpit of the Japanese Kawanishi N1K2-J Shiden Kai fighter. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory that replaces simplified plastic parts. According to the manufacturer the set also holds a color photo-etched part with the instrument panel and the seat belts.
The Kawanishi N1K2-J Shiden Kai (Allied designation George) was a capable Japanese naval fighter from the end of the Second World War, considered by many one of the best Japanese fighters of the time. A faithful interior comes into its own above all with the canopy open.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and glue with super glue. Paint and assemble the interior before closing the fuselage; fix the pre-printed photo-etched parts with super glue. Bring the detail out with a wash and a dry brush.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin accessory. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
