Republic P-47D-22RE Thunderbolt French Service (Basic Kit) in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer MiniArt — an injection-molded plastic kit of the American fighter in French service.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary Republic P-47D-22RE Thunderbolt fighter in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer MiniArt, in the Basic Kit form. The Basic designation means that the package contains only the plastic parts (without photo-etched parts and masks) and a narrower selection of markings — it is a more simply equipped version of the same good tooling. The model concentrates on machines in French service.
The P-47 Thunderbolt was one of the most massive single-engined fighters of the Second World War, powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine with a turbocharger. It excelled in toughness, heavy machine gun armament and the ability to carry bombs and rockets, which made it a feared fighter-bomber. The D-22RE version belongs to the production run with the razorback canopy. After the war the Thunderbolts also served with the French Air Force.
Use liquid cement for plastic and pay attention to the finely rendered engine and cockpit. Paint the interior before closing the fuselage. Apply a primer, then airbrush the natural metal finish or the camouflage scheme of the subject you have chosen. Pick out the panel lines and rivets with a wash; bring the metal areas alive with metalizer shades. Prepare masks for the canopy separately, as they are not in the package.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
