This is a set of pre-cut masking templates from Art Scale (ASK), not a kit. The masks are cut from kabuki tape and are intended for the MiniArt kit of the Republic P-47M Thunderbolt fighter in 1:48 scale. The double-sided rendition masks the cockpit glazing from the outside and the inside, so that the framing of the canopy looks clean from both sides. The parts are numbered, so together with the instructions they pin down the position for sticking them on exactly.
It makes it possible to spray the framing of the cockpit cleanly without laboriously cutting tape. The double-sided rendition will be appreciated by modelers who want the frames in the right color even when looking into a closed cockpit.
Degrease the surfaces before masking. Apply the templates according to the numbering, press the edges down well so that the paint does not run under them, and spray in thin coats. Fit the inner masks before the canopy is closed up. Lift the mask shortly after the paint has dried, while the coat is still flexible.
This is a masking set, not an airplane model. The kit and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
