This is a set of pre-cut masking templates from Art Scale (ASK), not a kit. The masks are cut from kabuki tape and are intended for a model of the Republic P-47M Thunderbolt fighter in 1:48 scale. The single-sided rendition masks the cockpit glazing from the outside and usually also includes masks for the wheels. The parts are numbered, so together with the instructions they pin down the position for sticking them on exactly.
It makes it possible to spray the framing of the canopy and other areas cleanly without laboriously cutting tape. The exact shape of the templates saves time and ensures sharp, straight transitions of color.
Degrease the surfaces before masking. Apply the templates according to the numbering, press the edges down well so that the paint does not run under them, and spray in thin coats. Lift the mask shortly after the paint has dried, while the coat is still flexible.
This is a masking set, not an airplane model. The kit and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
