This set is NOT a model of equipment but diorama material in 1:48 scale. The Czech firm Plusmodel supplies the larger granite cobblestones as a set of tiny ceramic pieces. By laying the individual stones you create absolutely faithful historical paving, the kind no plastic or cast sheet will imitate.
Stone (granite) paving was the typical surface of European streets, squares and courtyards. Genuine individual stones give a scene depth, irregularity and natural shadows between the joints.
Lay the stones into a layer of putty, plaster or PVA glue on the base; small irregularities are desirable and look realistic. Once it has dried, fill the joints with a fine compound. You unify the stone with a base coat, then play out the shades of the individual stones, bring out the joints with a dark wash and dust the surface with pigments.
This is diorama material, not a model of a vehicle. The base, putty, glue and paints are not included in the package.
