This set is NOT a model of equipment but diorama material in 1:48 scale. The smaller granite cobblestones from the Czech firm Plusmodel make up a set of tiny ceramic pieces. By laying them one by one you create the fine, closely jointed paving of sidewalks and narrower lanes, which cast sheets will not replace.
Small stone paving covered the sidewalks, yards and side lanes of European towns. The smaller stones create a finer grid than the large format and suit places where the paving is meant to be unobtrusive yet faithful.
Lay the stones into a layer of putty, plaster or PVA glue; slight irregularity is desirable. Once it has dried, fill the joints with a fine compound. Unify the stone with a base coat, then play out the shades, bring out the joints with a wash and add dust with pigments.
This is diorama material, not a model of a vehicle. The base, putty, glue and paints are not included in the package.
