An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-34/85 medium tank in the model 1944 version in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. The model captures the famous Soviet tank with its three-man turret and its powerful 85 mm gun. A kit in this smaller scale offers a solid level of detail, photo-etched parts and a straightforward build that suits smaller display cases too.
The T-34/85 was the high point in the development of the legendary T-34. Compared with the earlier versions it received a larger three-man turret and an 85 mm gun, which raised its firepower against the new German tanks. Sloped armor, a reliable diesel engine and a simple design made it one of the most significant tanks of the Second World War. The model 1944 version was among the mass-produced forms of the closing stage of the war.
Assemble and paint the running gear before the hull is closed up. Use liquid cement on the plastic. Lay down a primer and spray the paints with an airbrush; bring the Soviet green to life with dark washes into the details and with pigments for dust and mud on the running gear.
