The SAAB 35 Draken was a Swedish supersonic fighter with a characteristic double delta wing, developed by Saab during the Cold War. That unusual wing gave it good flying qualities across a wide range of speeds. Besides the Swedish Air Force, other countries operated it as well; Austria used the export version designated J35O (after the German Osterreich) and kept its Drakens in service until the middle of the first decade of this century. The black ceremonial scheme was created to say farewell to these aircraft when their service in Austria came to an end.
Work out the cockpit before you close up the fuselage. Paint the striking black ceremonial scheme with an airbrush over a thorough primer, and even the black surfaces out beforehand with thin coats. Apply the decals onto a gloss coat so that no silver edges appear. Bring out the panel lines only discreetly, so that the striking livery stands out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
