An injection-molded plastic kit of the Swedish two-seat jet aircraft in 1:48 scale. The boxing makes it possible to build the SK60 A trainer version as well as the SK60 B light attack version, both powered by RM9 engines. The model is a modern tooling with fine surface detail, supplemented by photo-etched parts and quality decals. Paints and glue are not included.
The SAAB SK60, designated SAAB 105 by its maker, was a small twin-engine jet aircraft designed in the late 1950s for civil as well as military use. The Swedish Air Force operated it in large numbers; the A version served as a trainer and the B version as a light attack aircraft. It was powered by French Turbomeca Aubisque engines in the RM9 fit.
Pay attention to the cockpit interior with its pair of side-by-side seats, which shows clearly under the glazing. Glue with thin plastic cement, the photo-etched parts with super glue, and paint and fit the clear parts last. The crisp edges of the glazing make masking easier. Swedish schemes for trainers and attack aircraft alike suit the model.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
