Scheuch-Schlepper for Me-163B is a resin set of the towing tractor with which the Me-163 Komet rocket fighter was moved around an airfield. 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set from the Czech manufacturer CMK capturing the special Scheuch-Schlepper towing tractor which served on airfields to move the Messerschmitt Me-163 Komet rocket fighter. The set combines resin parts with photo-etched sheet. This is not a model of an aircraft but ground equipment which makes an excellent complement to an aviation scene with models of the Me-163B.
The Me-163 Komet landed on an extending skid without landing gear, so once down it could not move by itself. It was precisely the three-axle Scheuch-Schlepper tractor, which lifted the machine and carried it away, that was used to move it around an airfield and to tow it back. It therefore forms an inseparable part of the operation of this unusual aircraft.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Bend the photo-etched parts over an edge and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue as well. Sand with protection of the airways. Ground equipment takes more pronounced weathering, with washes and pigments for deposits of oil and dust.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
