An injection-molded plastic kit of the British carrier-borne jet aircraft Hawker Sea Hawk FGA.6 in 1:48 scale from Trumpeter. It is a model with fine engraved detail and a range of building options. The box contains plastic parts, clear canopy parts and decals for several marking variants, so you can build a striking British machine straight from the box.
The Sea Hawk was a British single-seat carrier-borne jet aircraft of the Fleet Air Arm. The FGA.6 version was the fighter-ground-attack variant, intended for attacking ground targets as well. FGA.6 Sea Hawks became famous in action during the Suez operation in 1956, where they provided close air support, and they served from the decks of British aircraft carriers until the end of the type's career.
Use thin cement for plastic and finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage. The model allows folded wings, extended airbrakes and flaps to be shown, so count on that when planning the build and the painting. Unguided rockets and drop tanks can be hung under the wings. Apply primer before varnishing and lay the colors on with an airbrush; we recommend masking the cockpit glazing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
