The CMK 1:48 pilot's canopy correction set for a model of the British TSR-2 aircraft brings a shape-corrected clear canopy.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail correction set, not an airplane kit. It brings a new, shape-corrected clear canopy for the pilot's cockpit of a plastic model of the British TSR-2 aircraft in 1:48 scale. It corrects one of the weaker points of the production kit and gives the model a more accurate silhouette of the forward fuselage.
The BAC TSR-2 was a British twin-engine supersonic strike and reconnaissance aircraft of the 1960s with a long, slender nose and a low-set cockpit. The program was canceled in 1965 and the aircraft never entered squadron service.
Cut the clear canopy out carefully, dry-sand the mating edges and keep test-fitting it to the fuselage. Use a glue suited to clear parts that does not fog transparent surfaces. Mask the framing with a precisely cut mask and paint the interior shade first, then the top color.
The set is an accessory to the plastic model, not a standalone kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
