The resin set contains a finely cast Martin Baker Mk.F5 ejection seat in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane kit, but an aftermarket accessory that will replace the basic seat of a Vought F-8 Crusader model with a more detailed rendition.
The supersonic carrier-based fighter Vought F-8 Crusader served with the US Navy and Marine Corps. The Martin Baker Mk.F5 ejection seat is a prominent element of the single-seat cockpit; faithful straps and details of the seat are among the most visible parts when the canopy is open.
Wash the mold release residue off the part, cut off the casting block and sand the marks down with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Airbrushing and bringing out the straps with a wash will heighten the effect.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
