The injection-molded plastic kit from the manufacturer Italeri captures the American medium tank M4A3E8 Sherman, nicknamed the Easy Eight, in 1:56 scale. This scale is popular in tabletop war games (wargaming), but the model is a full-fledged kit to be glued together and painted. The package contains crew figures.
The M4A3E8 Sherman was an improved version of the proven medium tank, introduced at the end of 1944. The HVSS suspension (horizontal volute spring suspension) and wider tracks improved the ride, and the more powerful 76 mm gun increased firepower. The Sherman proved itself in the closing phase of the Second World War and later in the Korean War as well. The Fury byname refers to the popular film portrayal of the tank and its crew.
Use liquid cement on the plastic parts. Assemble the running gear before closing the hull, then apply a primer and the base color. You create the weathering with washes and pigments for mud and dust effects, which give the tank a realistic look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
