Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the famous British battleship (dreadnought) of the Iron Duke class in 1:600 scale. It is a classic Airfix mold, which is among the long-standing favorites in this brand's ship models. The model is made up of a large number of parts, thanks to which it faithfully captures the silhouette, the main-caliber gun turrets and the superstructure of the ship. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Iron Duke was the flagship of the British Grand Fleet at the time of the Battle of Jutland in 1916, the largest naval engagement of the First World War. She carried her main armament of 343 mm caliber in five twin turrets and represented a typical example of the dreadnought era, when the strength of armor and of large-caliber guns decided matters. After the war she also served as a training ship.
The hull can be built as a full hull, and a simple stand suits display. Glue the small parts of the superstructure and the guns with a thin modeling cement for plastic, a few at a time. For a clean result we recommend a ground of primer, airbrushing in shades of wartime gray and a final bringing out of the details with a dark wash. The railings and the fine accessories can be replaced with photo-etch from the accessory range.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
