This injection-molded plastic kit captures HMS Hood, the British battlecruiser and one of the best known ships of the Royal Navy. It is a proven mold in the popular ship scale of 1:600. The package contains sheets of parts, decals and instructions; the model is built with a full hull and can be displayed on a stand.
HMS Hood was for long years the pride of the Royal Navy and one of the largest warships of her time. She combined the speed of a cruiser with the gun power of a battleship. In May 1941 she went down in a duel with the German ship Bismarck, when a hit on the magazines tore her apart and sank her within a few minutes.
Spray the hull and the superstructures in Admiralty shades of gray and set the decks apart with a darker tone. Glue the small parts with thin cement for plastic, and the fine railings can be added from photo-etched accessories. You will accentuate the panel and rivet detail with a dark wash and fine drybrushing on the edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
