The British Valkyrie hypercar in the Sunburst Yellow shade. A naturally aspirated twelve-cylinder, extreme aerodynamics and a metal form in 1:64.
Responsibility details are not available.
Six and a half liters of displacement, twelve cylinders in a V and revolutions reaching above eleven thousand per minute. Nobody else has such a powerplant in a road car today. It came about in cooperation with a British engine firm, an electric unit completes it and the whole manages a sound that has hardly been heard since the days of the naturally aspirated racing specials.
The drawing of the car bears the mark of a designer famous for his work with downforce. The floor is hollowed out into enormous tunnels, the cabin narrows into a teardrop shape and cameras have replaced the side mirrors. The seats are built into the shell and the driver's legs point higher than his hips, exactly as in a single-seater. Only one hundred fifty of them were to be built in the closed body.
The Sunburst Yellow shade brings out the breaks in the shape that are lost on dark paint. With a body as complex as this one a light color is an advantage for a model: the viewer will see every vent and the edge of the diffuser. The piece is finished and ready for display.
In 1:64 the length comes out at just under eight centimeters, so it fits even a smaller display case and does not take up the room that one large scale would otherwise swallow.
The closed body came about alongside an open version and a circuit offshoot, which differ from one another mainly in the treatment of the rear and of the downforce elements. The purchase price of the subject ran into the order of tens of millions of crowns, so for most enthusiasts a miniature is the only form of ownership within reach.
