A detailed injection-molded kit of the modern Chinese Type 055 class guided missile destroyer in 1:700 scale from Meng. The box holds movable elements, a shipboard helicopter and details for the finished look. A display base, metal stickers and waterslide decals for the ship markings are usually part of it as well.
The Type 055 is a large guided missile destroyer of the People's Liberation Army Navy. The first unit was launched in 2017 and the class ranks among the most heavily armed surface ships of its generation. It carries an extensive vertical launching system, a powerful radar and a hangar for a shipboard helicopter.
Separate the small parts at this scale carefully and bond them with thin plastic cement. The hull can be built complete, or cut at the waterline so that the model sits in a water surface on a diorama. A primer coat is worth applying, with an airbrush for even gray shades and a wash to bring out panels and details. The metal stickers and the railings add to the realistic impression.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
