This kit from Trumpeter contains a set of miniature Grumman F2F carrier-borne fighters in 1:700 scale. It is not one aircraft model but a set of several small aircraft in injection-molded plastic with which you can fill the decks of models of aircraft carriers and warships in the same scale.
The Grumman F2F was an American carrier-borne fighter biplane. It first flew in 1933 and was taken into service in 1935. It was marked by a stubby fuselage, a radial engine and retractable landing gear. It served with the US Navy in the second half of the 1930s and is one of the characteristic prewar carrier-borne biplanes.
Given the small scale, work with a sharp knife and tweezers and glue with thin plastic cement in small amounts. The aircraft can be painted with a brush as well as an airbrush; the struts and details of the biplane come out with drybrushing. It is best to paint the aircraft before they are set on the deck.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
