An injection-molded plastic kit of the British aircraft carrier HMS Victorious as she was in 1941, in 1:700 scale from Flyhawk, here in the premium Deluxe Edition form. Against the standard release this package adds a set of photo-etched parts and metal accessories for the greatest possible level of detail. It is therefore the richest version of this model, meant for demanding and experienced ship modelers.
HMS Victorious was a British aircraft carrier of the Illustrious class with an armored flight deck, brought into service at the beginning of the Second World War. In 1941 she already made her name when her Swordfish torpedo bombers took part in the pursuit of the German battleship Bismarck. The armored deck made ships of this class very resistant to air attack, and Victorious served in the Atlantic, in the Mediterranean and in the Pacific.
The hull can be built full or as a waterline version on a stand. Bond the photo-etched railings, radars and fine accessories with super glue and fold them precisely over an edge. Lay down a primer and spray the colors with an airbrush; the intricate superstructure comes out well with gentle edge highlighting and restrained weathering. Because of the number of etched and small parts, set aside plenty of time and quiet.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
