This is a set of six small plastic models of the shipboard helicopter Kaman SH-2 Seasprite in 1:700 scale. It is not a large standalone model but an accessory intended above all for populating the decks and hangars of warship models in the same scale. The package contains the parts for building several helicopters and so extends the scene around a ship model.
The Kaman SH-2 Seasprite is an American shipboard helicopter which served with the US Navy above all for anti-submarine warfare, reconnaissance and rescue tasks. It is recognizable by its compact airframe with a single main rotor and a tail rotor, sized to fit the small hangars of destroyers and frigates.
Because of the 1:700 scale the parts are very small, so a sharp knife, tweezers and cyanoacrylate glue come in handy. Glue and paint the helicopters separately first, ideally with an airbrush or a fine brush, and only then seat them on the deck of the ship. A light wash and dry going-over of the edges will help bring them out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
