A plastic model of the legendary ocean liner RMS Titanic in 1:700 scale from the South Korean brand Academy, supplemented by an LED lighting set. The model belongs to the range with parts pre-colored in the basic colors (MCP), so the rough coloring arises from the assembly itself. An LED set with the necessary components is included, thanks to which you can light up the windows and the decks once it is finished and give the model a striking night appearance. A stand and a nameplate for display are in the package as well.
At the time of her completion the RMS Titanic was one of the largest and most luxurious ships in the world. On her maiden voyage in 1912 she sank in the North Atlantic after striking an iceberg, which became one of the best-known maritime disasters in history. The hull with its characteristic four funnels and extensive superstructures remains an icon of ship history to this day.
Glue the hull and the decks with modeling cement for plastic. Lay out and build in the LED lighting and its wiring before closing the hull, as access tends to be difficult once it is glued. Even though the parts are pre-colored, the model gains markedly from painting in the details, weathering the decks and cleaning up the seams. For running the lighting, reckon on a battery supply according to the instructions. Place the finished model on the enclosed stand.
The model is supplied unassembled. Batteries, glue and paints for painting in the details are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
