Injection-molded plastic kit of the American guided missile destroyer USS Momsen DDG-92 from Hobby Boss in 1:700 scale. According to the instructions, the model can be built with a full hull on a stand or as a waterline one. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the exact contents of the package and any photo-etched parts, follow the instructions enclosed and the markings on the box.
Momsen is an Arleigh Burke class guided missile destroyer, the backbone of the surface fleet of the US Navy. These general-purpose ships carry the Aegis combat system and vertical launch silos for guided missiles and are capable of anti-air, anti-ship and anti-submarine defense. Momsen was commissioned in the early 2000s and is named after Admiral Charles Momsen.
With modern destroyers, glue and fill the hull first so that no seams show. Paint the superstructures and the radars separately and fit them only after spraying. The smooth gray surfaces will show best with a fine panel wash; fit the photo-etched railings and antennas with cyanoacrylate glue at the very end. If the box contains a deck helicopter, finish it separately and fit it last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
