The Flyhawk 1:700 photo-etched set for the cruiser Prinz Eugen is a detail set of photo-etched parts for refining a 1:700 model of the German heavy cruiser. Intended for the Tamiya 31805 kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a ship model. The set from Flyhawk contains photo-etched metal parts intended to replace the simplified plastic parts of a 1:700 model of the German heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen. The set makes the railings, ladders, radars and superstructures finer. The set is intended for the Tamiya 31805 kit.
Prinz Eugen was a German heavy cruiser of the Admiral Hipper class. She became best known for taking part in the operation against the Royal Navy alongside the battleship Bismarck. She came through the war and, like Nagato, ended in the postwar nuclear tests at Bikini Atoll.
Separate the fine photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and make the bends over a ruler or a photo-etch bending tool. Use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or a special adhesive for photo-etch. In the small 1:700 scale, work with tweezers and good lighting. Glue the railings on at the very end of the build.
The set does not contain the ship model, paints or glue. It serves as an accessory to the kit.
