Injection-molded plastic kit of the Czechoslovak 152mm ShKH DANA vz. 77 self-propelled howitzer from Hobby Boss in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Czechoslovak wheeled self-propelled howitzer of 152 mm caliber, the DANA model 77, in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. The model captures a distinctive vehicle on an eight-wheeled off-road chassis with a rotating gun turret. The set suits collectors of former Warsaw Pact equipment as well as modern military subjects, because the DANA is still in active service.
The DANA, from the Czech Delo Automobilni Nabijene Automaticky, meaning an automatically loaded vehicle-mounted gun, was designated in service as the self-propelled gun-howitzer model 77 and was the first wheeled self-propelled howitzer of 152 mm caliber to enter service. It was created in Czechoslovakia, designed at Konstrukta Trencin, and built on an eight-wheeled Tatra off-road chassis. It stands out for its automatic loading and still serves in several armies today, among them the Czech and the Slovak.
First assemble and paint the chassis and the suspension, and only then fit the turret with the gun. Paint the tires with a flat color on their own. Lay the base coat with an airbrush over a primer; bring out both the period and the modern camouflage with washes in the recesses and fine pigments for dust. In 1:72 scale, take care to clean up the small parts neatly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
