Peewit — die-cut painting masks for the A-17 / Nomad Mk.I aircraft, 1:72 scale are a self-adhesive masking set for plastic models, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive masking stencils from Peewit for plastic models of the Northrop A-17 attack aircraft, designated Nomad Mk.I in British service, in 1:72 scale. It is not a model or a kit but a painting accessory that is bought separately. The masks are cut to the shape of the cockpit glazing and other areas, so you can paint the frames with crisp edges and without laboriously cutting out tape. The material follows rounded surfaces and leaves no adhesive behind once removed.
The Northrop A-17 was an American two-seat single-engine attack low-wing monoplane of the mid-1930s, one of the first modern attack machines of the US Army Air Corps. A number of the aircraft went into British and Commonwealth service under the name Nomad Mk.I, where, having been judged obsolete, they served mainly as advanced trainers and target tugs, among other places in southern Africa and Canada. The improved A-17A version was given fully retractable landing gear.
Degrease the glazing and let it dry. Transfer the masks with tweezers, lay them in place and press the edges down with a toothpick against paint bleeding underneath. Spray the shade of the frames first, then the base coat and the camouflage, and remove the masks while the paint is still fresh.
This is a masking set, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
