This variant captures tires with a smooth tread and replaces the wheels from the standard kit with more faithful castings, usually with a self-adhesive mask for painting.
The Douglas A-26 Invader was an American twin-engine attack bomber from the end of the Second World War, serving in the Korean War and the Vietnam War as well. The A-26C version had a glazed nose with a bombardier's position.
Wash the parts clean of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. Take care to orient the flattened contact surface of the tire correctly toward the ground. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
