Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of a floatplane in 1:72 scale from brand Hobby 2000. It is a rebox — the plastic parts come from a tooling by Japanese company Fujimi, and Hobby 2000 adds new decals (Cartograf) and masking templates for easier painting of the glazing. The Late version corresponds to the later configuration of the aircraft from 1944–1945. The package includes a pair of floats and clear cockpit parts.
The Aichi E16A1 Zuiun (Auspicious Cloud) was a Japanese two-seat naval reconnaissance and bomber floatplane. It carried the Allied codename Paul. Besides reconnaissance, it could also perform dive-bombing and carried a pair of large floats. It was deployed in the final phase of the Pacific War, when Japan was fighting mostly defensive operations.
Glue the parts with thin liquid cement for plastic; pay close attention to precisely fitting the struts and floats so the model stands level. Mask the cockpit glazing with the included templates and glue it only after the frames have been painted. Apply a primer before painting; the typical dark green upper and light lower camouflage stands out with an airbrush and fine panel shading. A suitable stand can be added for a model displayed on the water.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
